Woman Charged After Stabbing Cheating Boyfriend

PONTIAC (WWJ) - A 21-year-old Pontiac woman has been charged with felony assault after authorities say she stabbed her boyfriend over some incriminating voice mails.

Oakland County Sheriff's officials were called one night last month to a home on Palmer where a 20-year-old man said he'd been stabbed in his sleep by his live-in girlfriend.

An investigation revealed that the victim's girlfriend, Moniqua Turner, had discovered some incriminating  messages on his cell phone that indicated he had been cheating on her.

Turner was arraigned on Friday afternoon at 50th District Court on one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, a 10 year felony.

Turner remains in the Oakland County Jail on a $7,500 dollar cash bond.  Officials said she has no prior criminal history.
