Residents in those areas now have the option to turn their depreciating roof into an asset that not only protects from the elements, but also generates energy, while increasing the value of their home.
Powerhouse shingles combine the performance and protection of a conventional asphalt roof with an integrated solar cell that powers the home and saves the homeowner money. The Powerhouse System includes a custom designed array that fits the homeowner’s goals and complements the home’s style; an inverter that converts the Direct Current generated by solar panels into alternating current to power the home; and a monitoring system delivering real-time production and consumption readouts from any Internet connection.
