USPS Warns Of Email Virus Scam
DETROIT (WWJ) - The United State Postal Service is warning people about a new email scam.
Customers have been receiving bogus e-mails about a package delivery or online postage charge -- claiming to be from the USPS or other delivery companies.
The email contains a fake link or attachment that, when opened, installs a virus that can steal personal information off your computer.
Officials are asking that people simply delete the e-mail.
With questions or to report spam email to USPS, customers may call 1-800-ASK-USPS or send an email to spam@usps.gov.
