DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Perhaps fans of the Queen of Soul said “A Little Prayer” –and it came true — because legendary singer  Aretha Franklin is going to perform at 8 p.m. June 22 at the Fox Theatre in her Detroit hometown.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at prices of $35.50, $45.50 and $75. Franklin’s soulful,  soaring voice has brought her dozens of chart-topping records and classic hits including “Respect,” “Chain Of Fools,” “Think,” “Daydreaming,” and “Free Of Love.”

Fans may also get another look at a young Franklin performing her heart out at a Baptist church in Detroit in front of Mick Jagger and some members of the Beatles. A tape of the memorable show is locked in litigation over ownership and royalties, and Franklin’s attorney recently said the diva hopes it is released.

Franklin is the recipient of a 2005 Presidential Medal Of Freedom honor, 17 Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Grammy Living Legend Award.
