MEMPHIS, Mich. (WWJ) – Two suspected burglars are jailed after they were caught breaking into the home of one of their grandmothers.

Macomb County authorities caught George Zammit and Johnny Cooley Wednesday as they were carrying things out of a house in Memphis. Investigators say it was later discovered the home belonged to the grandmother of one of the suspects

The grandmother opted not to press charges, but the two are charged with home invasions after police say they broke into two other homes, near Romeo.

Both suspects were Friday at 42-1 District Court in Washington Township.

The pair could spend 15 years in jail if convicted.
