Tracy Morgan Brings Raunchy Act To The Motor City

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Comedian Tracy Morgan hit Twitter bright and early Wednesday with a message: "Motor City get readdy I'm comin' to you."

Is it a threat or a promise? Fans can decide because Morgan, a former Saturday Night Live castmate and current star of "30 Rock" is playing the Royal Oak Music Theatre at 8 p.m. Friday. He calls his tour "Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful."

Morgan has gotten into hot water with his raunchy, stream of consciousness act, most notably when he had to issue an apology last summer for an onstage rant against gay people.

Morgan also made headlines earlier this year when he collapsed at the Sundance Festival in Utah and later cancelled shows due to flu-like symptoms. TMZ reported he was "out of control" at Sundance, while his spokespeople said he was simply exhausted.

He took to Twitter a few days ago to apologize for "calling in sick" in Denver.

So, what hijinx will he be up to in Detroit? You'll have to wait and see.

A reviewer on Ticketmaster.com wrote about a recent show in Boston: "Great comedian. Tracy Morgan had the entire crowd in stitches. Real life scenarios turned into great comedy. 5 stars he was awesome. If you haven't seen him live you need to."

Tickets for the Royal Oak Music Theatre show are still on sale HERE .
