4 Survive Plane Crash Near Frankenmuth Airport

FRANKENMUTH (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say all four people aboard a small single engine Cessna walked away following a crash near the Frankenmuth airport.

Officials identify the pilot as 25-year-old Thomas Wolfe of Livonia.  Also on board were 57-year-old Frank Tima of Livonia, 26-year-old Laura Richardson of Royal Oak and 56-year-old Gerald Wolfe of Livonia.

No one suffered life threatening injuries, according to a report citing Frankenmuth police.

The pilot reportedly radioed that his air craft had lost power shortly after takeoff Sunday. Shortly after that, the plane went down in a field near William "Tiny" Zehnder Field, about 75 miles northwest of Detroit.

Frankenmuth police and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating.
