Golf Party Will Benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) What’s better than a day with gorgeous weather, a bag full of clubs, and friends all around? Knowing it’s for a good cause.

The Team LaFontaine 9 &Wine golf event on June 1 will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The afternoon starts with golf and ends with music — and more fun.

And this isn’t just any old golf outing: The after party will feature the 80’s tribute band Mega 80’s and golf attire can be “80’s themed.”

Tickets for the golf event are $88 per person, or $48 for just the party. Dress attire: 80’s golf theme (optional).

Golf registration begins at 2 p.m., with a 3 p.m. shotgun start.

The after party, starting at 6 p.m., features a live DJ, two floors to dance, a silent and live auction for items including a fantasy vacation for two — a $5,000 value. Tickets for the auction are 1 for $25 each, or 5 for $100.

It all happens at The Fountains Golf and Banquet Center, 6060 Maybee Road, Clarkston.
