MCWT Golf Classic CIO Auction Opens June 26
SOUTHFIELD -- Don't miss the chance to golf with the region's most distinguished IT executives at this year's MCWT Golf Classic on Thursday, July 26. Auction bids will be accepted online via email beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26 and will close at noon on Wednesday, June 27.
Rounds of golf with several CIOs and CTOs are up for bids, including George Surdu, CTO, Comerica; Dave Behen, CIO, State of Michigan; Tim McCabe, CIO, Delphi; and Jamal Farhat, CIO, BorgWarner. The minimum bid starts at $1,000. The winning bid includes a golf threesome for the winning bidder, plus the CIO. Bid increments must be $100 or higher.
Executive pair bids, which start at $2,000, include Fred Killeen, CTO, General Motors, and Dave Poirier, Executive Director, IT Performance, General Motors; Dan Mahlebashian, Chief Contracting Officer, General Motors, and Bill Houghton, Executive Director, Corporate IT Solutions, General Motors; Tim Cox, Executive Director, Enterprise Solutions, General Motors, and Linda Kopchia, Director, Application Factories, General Motors; Vijay Sankaran, Executive Director, Application Delivery Services, Ford Motor and Jeff Lemmer, CIO, Ford Credit; and Donna Cheesebrough, President, MCWT (2011/2012) and Maru Flores, President, MCWT (2013/2014). Winning bids include a golf twosome for the winning bidder, plus the CIO pair. Bid increments must be $100 or higher.
The CIO auction opens at 9 a.m. on June 26. All bids should be submitted to Beth Brock. Bids will be accepted based on the timestamp on bid email. Bidders will receive an email when their bid is no longer the high bid, providing an opportunity to raise. Bids will be accepted until noon on June 27.
At noon on June 27, participating bidders will receive an email for one final opportunity to outbid the current bid by submitting a final bid by 4 p.m.
Winners will be announced via email July 1.

Golf will be a scramble format, shotgun start, with prizes awarded after dinner. Members have two options to enjoy this signature, networking-rich MCWT event. A whole day ticket includes 18 holes with cart, driving range with balls, buffet lunch, sit-down dinner, water, soft drinks, four drink tickets during the day and an open bar at dinner. Pairs and foursomes are available. Dinner registration includes dinner and open bar.
Registration begins at 10 a.m.; dinner registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Pine Knob Golf Course is at 5580 Waldon Road, Clarkston. The cost for members is $140 for golf and dinner or $55 for dinner alone; the cost for non-members is $165 for golf and dinner or $65 for dinner alone.
