Police Believe Suspect Fatally Shot Ex-Girlfriend, Her Sister

BLISSFIELD, Mich. (WWJ) - Police are continuing to search for a suspect in the shooting deaths of two sisters in Blissfield, in southeast Michigan.

Michigan State Police are looking for 38-year-old Thomas Fritz of Sylvania, Ohio. Fritz hasn't been charged, but is wanted for questioning in the murder of the two sisters. Fritz is believed to be the ex-boyfriend of one of the women.

"We believe that Mr. Fritz is the suspect that committed those murders," Michigan State Police Lieutenant Kevin Mark said. "We're following up on all leads and we have not ruled out any part of the country yet."

Fritz is considered armed and dangerous.

Police found 24-year-old Lisa Gritzmaker and her sister, 34-year-old Amy Merrill, shot and killed when they responded to a 911 call from one of the victims.

The girls mother was also shot Friday night but is expected to recover.
