Hoekstra is the former U.S. Rep for Michigan's 2nd Congressional District who served in the House from 1993 until 2010.In the U.S. House, Hoekstra served on numerous committees including Education and Labor, Budget, and the Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Hoekstra also worked at office furniture maker Herman Miller for 15 years and was vice president of marketing.
