Dearborn Priest Suspended After Nude DUI Arrest

DEARBORN (WWJ/AP) - The pastor of a Dearborn church was suspended after being arrested for drunk driving.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit said Pastor Peter Petroske of Sacred Heart Parish was charged with driving under the influence and indecent exposure in Dearborn.

The archdiocese said the 57-year-old priest was alone in the vehicle when he was arrested Thursday. Reports are that Petroske was not wearing any clothes when he was arrested.

Father Robert Blondell,  a retired priest for the archdiocese, has been named temporary administrator of Sacred Heart Parish.

Archdiocese spokesman Joe Kohn said Petroske will stay off church grounds during the suspension.

The parish's website says Petroske was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and was ordained in 1984.
