LINDEN, Mich. (WWJ/AP) – Stinky shoes are more than welcome at Linden County Park in Genesee County for the “Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker” contest.

Kids’ sneakers will be judged Monday evening based on the condition of the sole, tongue, heel, toe, laces, velcro, eyelets/grommets and odor. “The nastier, dirtier, and more worn out they are, the better,”  according to a press release from Genesee County Parks.
