Compuware Named To Application Performance Monitoring Magic Quadrant: Detroit-based Compuware Corp. (Nasdaq: CPWR) announced that Gartner Inc. has placed Compuware in the "Leaders" quadrant of the "Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring" report. The report evaluated 14 vendors on completeness of vision and ability to execute. Last quarter, Compuware saw a 95 percent year-over-year increase in APM license fees, and added 197 new, paying APM customers. According to Gartner, APM has become a central focus for IT operations and growth in spend continues, while the market evolves rapidly. By the end of 2012, Gartner estimates that the global spend for APM software will grow to $2.14 billion, a 9 percent growth over the $2 billion spent in 2011. As a testament to its growth and leadership, Compuware was recently named the No. 1 provider of Web performance monitoring software to the largest online retailers in the U.S. by Internet Retailer Magazine for the sixth consecutive year, serving more customers on the Internet Retailer 500 than any other web performance monitoring solution. Additionally, Forrester Research recently gave Compuware APM tools high functionality marks in its comprehensive evaluation of the APM market.
