Delta Issues Weather Waiver
ROMULUS, Mich. (WWJ) - Tropical Storm Isaac is poised to give Tampa and the rest of the Gulf Coast a good drenching after lashing the Florida Keys and Miami. But will it leave air travelers at Metro Airport high and dry?
It appears that all the flights are on schedule at Metro Airport, but WWJ's Mike Campbell says he's being told by some longtime, regular business travelers that it may be they had enough advance warning that they rerouted the planes, so it looks like there are no cancellations.
Nevertheless, Delta has issued the following Weather Waiver as a result of Tropical Storm Isaac:
Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to impact travel to, from, and through Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Florida, and the Gulf Coast (see below for affected airports). Check flight status frequently for up-to-the-minute info about your flight plans, or get updates sent directly to your wireless device or email with Delta Messenger.
Rescheduling Flights
If your flight is canceled or significantly delayed, you are entitled to a refund. Even if your flight is not canceled, you may make a one-time change to your ticket without fee if you are scheduled to travel to, from, or through the following cities on Delta, Delta Connection®, or Delta-coded flights during the specified time periods listed below.
