Jahvid Best And Chris Greenwood Placed On PUP List

DETROIT (97.1 The Ticket) The Detroit Lions have announced that Jahvid Best and rookie CB Chris Greenwood have been placed on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.

And that means they can't play in a game for the first six weeks. Best hasn't played for the Lions since Oct. 16, 2011, against the San Fransisco 49ers when he suffered another concussion.

Chris Greenwood is a rookie out of Albion and was draft by the Lions in 5th round (148 overall) and was expected to compete for a spot at CB. Greenwood has not practiced with the Lions this summer as he is recovering from abdominal surgery.

The Lions also announced today that they have cut ten players including safety Sean Jones, receivers Jarett Dillard and Terrence Tolliver. Others cut were RB Stephfon Green, guards Jacques McClendon and J.C. Oram and defensive tackle Bobby Skinner.
