Sports Illustrated: Is This Calvin's Johnson?
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) The Detroit Lions' Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson are side-by-side on the cover of the NFL preview edition of Sports Illustrated, making it one of the biggest days in Detroit sports magazine history.
With a picture featuring Johnson with super-muscular arms roped with veins, the headline says: "Mega-Arm and Megatron: Detroit's prolific pass-catch combo Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson."
Detroit sports fans applauded the cover choice, but a closer look at Mega-Tron's half of the photo, specifically his lower half, drew its own share of comments on the Detroit Lions' official Facebook page.

Megan Kreiger wrote, "I think someone forgot to wear their jock strap."
Another fan upped the ante, writing, "Looks Like Mega-Tron forgot his Mega-Cup."
So, check it out and let us know: Did Johnson forget a crucial part of his uniform?
On a serious note, the magazine predicts the Lions will finish third in the NFC North, behind the Packers and Bears -- and says they'll miss the postseason. SI does heap praise on its cover boys, though, saying Johnson is the "most dangerous receiver in football" and praising Stafford's "fearlessness and ability to throw darts."
Seems safe to say, then, that they're locked and loaded.
