Pink Pump Shoe Store Expands To P2 Exchange In Royal Oak
ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - A local businesswoman said her secret to success - includes not being afraid to fall flat on your face.
Thirty-two year old Tawny Thieu started her Pink Pump empire six years ago; and she has just opened the doors to her latest store P2 Exchange on E. Fourth near Main Street in Royal Oak.

"I always tell people, "don't be afraid to fall flat on your face," because sometimes those are the lessons that help us the most and get you to the top. Don't be afraid to hire people who are better than you," said Thieu.
Thieu has a total of eight stores now - opening the first one when she was 25, that store closed within a year, but she didn't give up the dream.
" ... it was really a lot of trial and error and I was really able to understand how important it is to brand your business and marketing and all the things that go into chosing a location and making it successful. It's more than just picking out merchandise and opening up a store," said Thieu.
