Controltec To Unveil New Product

ALLEN PARK -- Controltec, a developer of vehicle data acquisition and analysis services, will unveil its new CT-84 diagnostics tool next week at the SAE OBD Symposium in Anaheim.

This important new product will enable OEMs to fulfill the specific testing and certification requirements of the J1939-84 Heavy Duty OBD standard.

"The J1939 requirement for 2013 presents a range of challenges to the heavy duty industry, given that the ink is barely dry on the standard and production start is looming," said David Ploucha, Controltec president. "The HD industry needed a product capable of addressing J1939 validation proactively and efficiently, so we leveraged our HD fleet data-acquisition experience and developed CT-84. That's why Controltec is in business -- to respond to the ever-changing needs of the OEM testing and certification world with insightful, reliable, and timely solutions. We look forward to meeting with our customers in Anaheim, to explore how the CT-84 product can evolve to serve their needs as the requirements stabilize."

CT-84 is the latest addition to Controltec's growing family of tools and services, which also includes the remarkable Qualifier system validation service, currently streaming and analyzing data from six continents.

"CT-84 draws upon our years of experience certifying vehicles in the Light Duty industry," said Bill Leisenring, Controltec vice president. "CT-84 tests for compliance to J1939-84 as well as being an engineering tool to assist companies with the development of compliant systems."

Controltec also announced that it will be the premier sponsor of next week's symposium.

Established in 2009, Controltec offers such industry-leading products as the Qualifier, Developer, and CT-1000 data acquisition tools.
