Jury Seated In Bianca Jones Murder Case

DETROIT (WWJ) - A jury has been seated in the case of a Detroit man accused of killing his daughter, setting the stage for opening statements Wednesday morning.

D'Andre Lane is charged with felony murder and child abuse in connection with the disappearance of his daughter, Bianca Jones. His daughter went missing last December. Lane later told police he was carjacked and his daughter was in the car at the time. He later sat down with reporters at WWJ Newsradio 950 to profess his innocence.

"I wish people would just focus on finding my daughter and not looking at me to be the bad guy or the villain in this situation; just, just look for my baby," Lane said. "That's all that matters to me is that my baby comes home safely."

Investigators and prosecutors say there is evidence that Bianca Jones was murdered, although her body has never been found.
