Police Arrest 5 After Gun Grab In Livonia
LIVONIA, Mich. (AP) - Five men and a juvenile from Detroit are charged in the theft of nearly three dozen weapons from a suburban gun store.
Livonia police say Tuesday that the men rammed a stolen minivan Thursday morning through a Shooter's Service shop window, west of Detroit.
Police arrested one man fleeing with a load of guns. Two others were caught in a wooded area. Other arrests were made later.
Each of the approximately 34 guns taken in the theft was recovered.
The five adults -- ages 17 to 21 -- were arraigned Saturday on weapons, larceny and other charges and each held on $1 million bonds. The juvenile was turned over to the county Youth Home.
The group also has been linked to jewelry store break-ins in two other communities.
