Priority Health Expands Medicare Offerings

GRAND RAPIDS -- Priority Health is furthering its commitment to providing quality health care in Michigan by expanding the counties it serves, the number of providers in its networks and health plans it offers. This year alone, Priority Health Medicare added a new health plan, more than 5,000 new providers and seven new counties to its already expansive network.

"Priority Health's main goal as a health plan is to positively impact the health of Michigan residents," said Wayne Wilson, vice president of Medicare for Priority Health. "By continuing to grow, we have the opportunity to provide the highest quality health care to those across Michigan who need it, and do so at an affordable price. We want to enhance the lives of individuals within our communities, and adding more plans, providers and counties is a key way to accomplish such improvements. We are proud of the incredible value, personalized service and low premiums we offer through our Medicare Advantage programs. It's one of the reasons more Medicare eligible individuals choose our plans, over any other plan offered in the state."

Priority Health added seven counties to its Medicare service area. With the seven additional counties -- Arenac, Calhoun, Cheboygan, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee and Ogemaw -- Priority Health now serves 58 counties. In addition, more than 5,000 new providers were added to the Priority Health Medicare Advantage network this year, including the University of Michigan Health System, growing the family of doctors to more than 19,000. A complete listing of available hospitals and providers is available at www.priorityhealth.com.

Priority Health offers four Medicare Advantage plans including PriorityMedicare Value  (HMO-POS), PriorityMedicareSM (HMO-POS), PriorityMedicare Merit (PPO) or PriorityMedicare Select (PPO). PriorityMedicare Merit, the newest Priority Health plan, is a value-priced PPO. The plan is great for snowbirds who like the freedom of seeing a doctor no matter where they travel.

Each plan varies in price and benefits to align with the needs of members and their budgets. All of the plans offer benefits like:
• $0 in-network deductible
• $0 prescription deductible
• Doctor visits and specialist visits (no referrals needed)
• Coverage in the United States and around the world
• Dental, hearing and a free gym membership
• More than 19,000 doctors in our network
• Predictable out-of-pocket costs
