Royal Oak Police Want "Insane Clown Posse" To Hit The Road

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Royal Oak police are telling Detroit-based rap metal duo "Insane Clown Posse" to take their annual Halloween concert elsewhere.

The move comes after the FBI designated the groups' fan base of jugalos and jugalettes a gang.

In a memo obtained through a freedom of information act, ROPD asks the Royal Oak Music theatre to cancel the show, citing problems ICP fans have created for police departments elsewhere.

ICP attorney Howard Hertz says that's just not true.

"Other venues have told me that they are willing to step forward, because they've found the jugalos to be one of the best behaved crowds that they have," said Hertz. "There's no fighting - they treat each other as, they call it, as family."

Royal Oak police could not be reached for comment.
