Angels Night Curfew Goes Into Effect Tonight
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police, firefighters and thousands of volunteers are getting ready for Angels' Night, and a big part of the effort is a curfew that will go into effect Monday night.
The curfew hours are from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday night as part of the city's Angels' Night anti-arson campaign. Anyone under the age of 18 has to be off the streets as well as any unsupervised areas unless they're going to work or an educational activity, but proof of attendance is required. Parents and guardians could be on the hook for citations or fines if their teen is detained.
Normal city curfew times go back into effect at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
