CPAs Offer iPad Class: The Michigan Association of CPAs will offer a course, "Using the iPad as a Business Tool," on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  at the MACPA office in Troy at 5480 Corporate Drive. The event will cost $300 for MACPA members and $400 nonmembers. Everyone is trying to understand what the optimal role is for the Apple iPad and other similar tablet devices in accounting firms and other business organizations. This course will answer that question. After attending this course you will have an in-depth understanding of these innovative devices and best practices for integrating them into the business organization. Apple is projected to sell over 40 million iPads in 2012. This is on top of the estimated 40 million that will be in use by the end of 2011. So it is not a matter of "if" these devices will infiltrate business organizations, but "how" to integrate them into your business most effectively.
