Police Investigating Cause Of Death For Man Found In Warren Drain

WARREN (WWJ) - Police in Warren are looking into the cause of death of a man whose body was found Monday afternoon in a drain at Old 13 Mile Road near Van Dyke.

"The body did have a significant amount of decomposition making identity somewhat difficult just by viewing the person that was partially submerged. But when we were able to remove the body from the water, identification was located," said Deputy Police Commissioner Louis Galasso.

Deputy Galasso said they are not releasing the identity of the 55-year-old man pending family notification. He says it does not look like foul play was involved, but an autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
