UpTo Launches Android App
DETROIT -- UpTo, the social platform application that looks forward in time, is now available for Android devices.
The free app is available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.upto.android.
UpTo is a calendar platform that lets you see a stream of upcoming events, from friends' plans to local events. While other social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare let users see what people have done or where they recently were, UpTo lets people share where they plan to be.
UpTo's "Discover" feature makes it simple for users to find and follow more than 800 event streams -- which include everything from sports schedules and TV premieres to upcoming concerts and events for local businesses. UpTo has created event streams for partners such as Westfield, featuring events during the Olympics; and TechCrunch, featuring upcoming product announcements and tech events; and Quicken Loans, featuring the company's community events and popular events happening in Detroit.
In addition to the Android launch, UpTo is also launching an official partnership with the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers. In addition to the Cavs game schedule and broadcast information, the stream will also include upcoming team announcements and promotions.
