TROY (WWJ) – A fatal injury accident in Troy Sunday afternoon as a woman is killed after being pinned under a car in a store parking lot.  The accident happened at the intersection of  Dequindre and Big Beaver.

Police responded to a report of a person stuck under a car. Witnesses say a woman was backing up her vehicle in a parking lot of Atlas Market when she hit  a 52-year-old woman.

Joe Elrubi works at an Uncle Ed’s Oil Shoppe just feet from the crash:

“There are so many police cars, there are so many lights, they are trying to get the body out,” said Elrubi.

The Oakland County medical examiner confirms that the woman pinned under the car died at the scene.

Reportedly, the driver of the car was transported to an area hospital with medical issues.
