Bagger Dave's To Open New Burger Tavern In Downtown Detroit

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A new restaurant is coming to downtown Detroit.

Bagger Dave's Legendary Burgers Tavern is expected to open a new location in the Motor City in 2013 "with close proximity to Ford Field, Comerica Park and Joe Louis Arena."

"There has been so much energy and positivity recently surrounding the revitalization and rebuilding of downtown Detroit, and moving forward with this site demonstrates our continued commitment to the community and our belief in the City's revitalization efforts," said T. Michael Ansley, President and CEO of Diversified Restaurant Holdings, which owns Bagger Dave's.

The new Bagger Dave's will be located adjacent to the upcoming downtown Detroit Buffalo Wild Wings, which is currently under construction and expected to open in December this year -- on Randolph Street near Greektown and Campus Martius Park.

Bagger Dave's offers a full-service, family-friendly restaurant and bar with a casual, comfortable atmosphere. The menu features freshly-made burgers accompanied by more than 30 toppings from which to choose, fresh-cut fries, hand-dipped milkshakes, and a selection of craft beer and wine. Signature items include Sloppy Dave's BBQ, Train Wreck Burger and Bagger Dave's Amazingly Delicious Turkey Black Bean Chili.

The Bagger Dave's concept emphasizes local flair by showcasing historical photos of the city in which each restaurant resides and features an electric train that runs above the dining room and bar areas. There are ten other corporate-owned Bagger Dave's locations in Michigan.
