New LLamasoft Supply Chain Software Claims Performance Breakthrough

ANN ARBOR -- The supply chain design software developer LLamasoft Inc. Wednesday announced the release of version 7.2 of its flagship software, Supply Chain Guru.

LLamasoft said the software represents "a major breakthrough in software performance to address the growing trends of big data and enterprise supply chain optimization and simulation."

The latest release of Supply Chain Guru represents more than 20 combined years of research and development to create new algorithms, heuristics and software architecture to help drastically reduce supply chain model run-times, improve responsiveness and streamline the interaction with large data sets.

"We tested and benchmarked the other leading supply chain optimization technologies and challenged our team to go bigger and faster and to improve the user experience," said Donald Hicks, LLamasoft co-founder and CEO. "It is extremely satisfying to see our team meet those challenges and to provide these improvements to our loyal and rapidly growing customer base as a sign of our commitment to their success."

For companies running large models or high volumes of models, the LLamasoft K2 Cloud Solver provides the option for running dozens or even hundreds of model scenarios simultaneously and solving models faster in the cloud, utilizing the LLamasoft secure data center.

Supply Chain Guru 7.2 is now available at no additional cost to all active licensees.
