Verizon 4G LTE Launches In Northern Lower Michigan Areas

SOUTHFIELD -- Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network is coming to Petoskey and other surrounding northern Michigan communities on Thursday, Dec. 20. 

Verizon Wireless customers in the new coverage area will be able to experience the speed and capabilities offered by the nation's largest 4G LTE network when the company expands the service tomorrow. 

The coverage area includes Petoskey, Harbor Springs, East Jordan, Charlevoix, Boyne City, Boyne Falls, Bellaire, Mancelona and surrounding areas.

Two years after its launch, Verizon Wireless offers more 4G LTE coverage than all other competitors' networks combined, with coverage currently available to more than 250 million people throughout the United States. 

On Thursday, the network will expand to offer 4G LTE service in 470 markets throughout the country. 

Verizon Wireless serves nearly 96 million retail customers,including 90.4 million retail postpaid customers.
