Cash-Strapped City Of Flint Plans Online Surplus Sale

FLINT (WWJ/AP) - The City of Flint is set to hold what it's calling its first-ever online auction to sell surplus equipment including trucks, tractors and office furniture.

The cash-strapped city says the auction is to be conducted Tuesday through Orbitbid.com.

Over 200 other items up for auction, including mowers, power tools, parking meters and even a Zamboni.

The online auction will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. A preview day will be held Monday, Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 886 East Boulevard Drive in Flint.
