A popular attraction at the Auto Show is back with a harmonious twist. Sponsored by parts distributor Aisin the electric car ride-along track in the basement of Cobo features what organizers are calling Zen garden style landscaping and a variety of electric, hybrid and super-low emission vehicles.

John Tittle, engineering technician at Current Motor Company based in Ann Arbor, Mich. took WWJ Reporter Kathryn Larson for a test drive on an electric scooter at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The Super Scooter can travel 40 real world miles, it can achieve 55 mph and costs $9,995. A high performance version will get you a little bit farther and a little bit faster. It has a range of 50 miles, can reach 65 mph and costs $11,995.

An on-board 3G connection allows for enhanced service, remote access, scheduled charging, trip planning and social networking.

During the public days of the show, guests can visit the Aisin Drive Green Experience to get the feeling of riding in one of these eco-friendly rides including cars, scooters and even a full-sized pickup truck.
