Boost Nutrition On A Budget

More and more people these days are finding themselves forced to make ends meet with an income that's been drastically cut or that just isn't keeping pace with the demands of raising a family. This often means reaching for foods that may not be as nutritionally sound as they should be.

A local health system is helping change that with its program: 'Boost Nutrition on a Budget.'

During free interactive sessions, registered dietitians at Oakwood Healthcare System walk you through topics like how to eat a nutritionally balanced meals without breaking the bank and the how-to's of controlling portions, what all the talk about anti-oxidants is about and how to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet.

Obesity is another big challenge these days. 'Boost Nutrition on a Budget' tackles the how-to's of shedding pounds without feeling like you're starving yourself.
