SUPERIOR TWP., Mich. (WWJ) - Authorities in Washtenaw County are investigating a parental kidnapping.

Sheriff's officials say 3-month-old Soloman Brandon is the focus of a custody dispute, and believe that 21-year old Rachel McPherson, the child's mother, took him from his grandmother, who is also the infant's caretaker. Although custody hasn't been determined yet by the courts, McPherson does not have permission to have the child.

Soloman was last seen with McPherson around 7:00pm Sunday in the MacArthur Blvd. area of Superior Township. However, the sheriff's office says he could also be with his father, 22-year-old Derris Brandon.

Sheriff's officials are asking that anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Rachael McPherson or Soloman Brandon to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SpeakUp or the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office at 734-973-4911.
