Monroe County CC Seeking Employers, Service Groups For Career Expo

MONROE -- Monroe County Community College is seeking employers and service organizations interested in participating in the third-annual Career and Opportunity Expo this spring.

The expo will feature employers and resources for students, veterans and the community, and will be hosted by MCCC in partnership with Siena Heights University, Eastern Michigan University, Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology, Monroe County Employment and Training Department Michigan Works!, Pure Michigan Veterans Services Division, South Central Michigan Works, and MCCC Student Government.

The expo will be held on Friday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Welch Health Education Building on the college's Main Campus, which is located at 1555 S. Raisinville Road in Monroe. Check-in will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

The Career and Opportunity Expo is designed to bring together students, colleges, employers, veterans and community members and highlight employment opportunities and available resources for returning service members.

Last year, more than 400 job seekers attended the event, which featured 88 exhibitors. 

The registration fee for the Career and Opportunity Expo is $50 for employers and $25 for service organizations, with breakfast and lunch included.  The event is free and open to the public.
