Greektown Casino Cuts Ribbon On Dining, Parking Upgrades
DETROIT (WWJ) - Whether you enjoy trying your luck at a slot machine or not -- the folks at Greektown Casino are welcoming you to their new restaurant.
Casino Food and Beverage Director Hassan Yazbek said Brizola is a response to guests' demands for on-site fine dining.
"We've heard that often times our guests don't want to leave the casino floor -- they want to stay on the casino floor, yet they want to have a good fine dining experience -- and that's why we built this restaurant for them," Yazbek told WWJ Newsradio 950's Pat Sweeting.

In addition to the fine dining option, the casino has added a Market District featuring several new casual dining options offering Italian, Asian, all American comfort foods and also a New York-style deli.
Greektown Casino President and CEO Mike Puggi says it will no longer be necessary for guests to drive around the area searching for a place to park -- with the addition of a new valet parking garage featuring a moving walkway over Monroe Street.
"We're talking about the grand opening of a new 900-space parking garage, a $20 million project that ... took about a year to complete," said Puggi, adding that parking, in the past, had been a problem on Lions and Tigers game days.
