Grid4 Hiring -- At Career Fairs And Elsewhere

TROY -- Grid4 Communications Inc., a facilities-based communications carrier, said this week that it is recruiting for openings in sales, engineering, network operations, marketing, customer care and service delivery.

The company offers internships as well as full-time positions. For more information, or to apply for a job at Grid4, visit their website at www.grid4.com.

Grid4 says it recruited successfully at a pair of recent job fairs, but still has more unfilled openings. Grid4 said that the Oakland University Winter Career Fair Jan. 30 and the Macomb County Job Fair Jan. 31, brought many potential candidates with varying skill levels.

Multiple positions at Grid4 are currently filled by past and present Oakland University students. The newest OU addition to the Grid4 team is Kelli Warshefski, a journalism major and studio art minor. Warshefski is Grid4's communications specialist, engaging in the development of the company's communication with customers and prospective clients. Nicole Derocher is also an OU graduate, obtaining her bachelor's degree in human resource development in 2012. Derocher was hired by Grid4 last October as a client relationship representative.

"Grid4 is unlike any other company," she said. "If you are willing to learn, Grid4 is willing to teach. They value their employees above all else. Grid4 has created this environment where the employees are not only co-workers but friends, who genuinely care about each other."

Last quarter, Grid4 added employees to engineering, sales, network services and customer care.

Career fairs aren't the only way Grid4 finds talent. All employees are encouraged to participate in Grid4's Referral Program, which awards current employees for referring other talented individuals to the company.

Grid4's SmartComm suite of services include IP voice, high speed Internet access, managed IP technology, security solutions and advanced data networking for multi-location businesses. Grid4 has been awarded Automation Alley's Technology Company of the Year.
