TechSmith Corp. Revenue Exceeds $50 Million in 2012

OKEMOS -- The past year proved to be momentous for TechSmith Corp., which has surpassed $50 million in revenue for 2012.

TechSmith's visual software provides more than 10 million users with tools to create engaging visuals and sharp videos that grab attention and keep it. Over the past 25 years, TechSmith's Snagit and Camtasia product lines have captivated individuals and professionals in more than 160 countries, with their user-friendly interfaces that redefine how consumers communicate.

During 2012 TechSmith had several major product launches, including Snagit 11, Camtasia Studio 8, Camtasia for Mac 2 and Coach's Eye, which have thrilled users by better enabling them to capture, record and enhance digital content. TechSmith launched an Academic Solutions Team that has been on the forefront of the flipped learning movement in education. PCMag awarded Snagit on both Windows and Mac platforms their Editors' Choice Award, praising it for its "quick, intuitive, no-nonsense way of performing simple tasks …combined with its enormous range of options." TechSmith's global sales increased 10 percent over the past two years. These sales were driven by global demand for effective visual learning solutions across the education and business sectors. Sales of Snagit licenses increased nine percent from 2010 to 2012, while sales of Camtasia Studio increased eight percent during the same time period. The company also witnessed strong growth of more than four percent in top international markets including Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan from 2010 to 2012.
