Man Professes "The Killer Is Still Out There" At Sentencing

LIVINGSTON COUNTY (AP) - A 66-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole for the 2008 slayings of his brother and sister-in-law in their Livingston County home.

A jury last month found Jerome Kowalski guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.

Tuesday, the judge gave Kowalski the mandatory sentence under Michigan law.

Before sentencing, he told the judge he's innocent and "the killer is still out there."
