IPS Technology Services wins a CIO Advisory and Healthcare IT Consulting Service Contract: Troy-based IPS Technology Services said this week that it has won a contract to provide CIO advisory and health care IT consulting services to a medical practice in Traverse City. Under this contract IPS Technology Services will provide technology consulting services to this rapidly growing physicians practice and set up their data center, call center, and technology infrastructure.  Currently, this practice provides service to patients at four locations. It also uses an older version of Allscripts EHR system to keep patient records. However, due to tremendous growth of patients and additional providers, the practice is planning to consolidate its administration and call center activities to a fifth location. IPS Technology Services will conduct a current situation analysis and design the future architecture based on which EHR and other associated applications will operate in an integrated fashion.  IPS will also help build a data center and a call center at the administrative location and design the layout of the facility for efficient operation.  Lastly, IPS will develop a technology road map to align with the business growth plan as well as integrate the phone system, EHR, and patient portal to enhance operational efficiency, revenue and profitability for the physician.
