Jalen Rose Thinks That Michigan Is Back – Sort Of

By: Jamie Samuelsen

Michigan is back in the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1994. That just happened to be the final season that Jalen Rose and Juwan Howard played in Ann Arbor.

Rose is now omnipresent on ESPN. He contributes to NBA Countdown, College Gameday, SportsCenter, Numbers Never Lie, First Take and Grantland.com.

I talked to Jalen on Thursday to get his thoughts on Michigan's return to the Sweet Sixteen and how many Big Ten teams he sees getting to the Final Four. He likes the direction that Michigan is heading, but he wants to make sure that John Beilein is still piling up McDonalds All-Americans for next years' recruiting class. Oh yeah, Jalen will be calling the McDonalds All-American Game next week from Chicago.

Jalen also remains passionately behind the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy which has open enrollment available through Sunday, March 31st. For more information – visit www.JRLAdetroit.com .

Here's the podcast of our conversation...
