Video Released For Detroit X Games Bid

http://vimeo.com/63188666
An ATV popping wheelies along the Lodge near Howard, a racecar doing donuts on top of Cobo and a freestyle bike rider hitting jumps amidst abandoned buildings is all part of a video bid submitted to the X Games to make Detroit a host city.

More than a dozen cities are vying for ESPN's X Games, a four-day competition of extreme sports like BMX, skateboarding, motocross and rallycross. Organizers are hoping downtown Detroit can host the games from 2014 to 2016.

Kevin Krease, 27, and Ian Studders, 26, launched the idea and Susan Sherer, Executive Director of Detroit's Super Bowl XL Host Committee in 2006, is mentoring the two men.

Detroit ad agency The Work produced the video.

Organizers are encouraging viewers to share their video with @xgames on Twitter using #xg2d and like them on Facebook.
