ANN ARBOR — LLamasoft Inc. bills itself as “the global leader in supply chain design software,” and its latest sale backs up that claim.

LLamasoft said this week that Mengniu, one of China’s leading dairy producers, has selected LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru softare as the primary supply chain design tool for its corporate logistics and production planning team.

Mengniu produces milk, yogurt, ice-cream and cheese in 20 production plants located throughout China and is ranked by Rabobank as the 18th largest dairy producer in the world.
