More Retailers Add PayAnywhere Mobile Credit Card Reader

TROY -- PayAnywhere, the professional grade mobile point of sale hardware and software provider, announced five new regional retailers are now offering the PayAnywhere mobile point of sale system in stores.

Included are Meijer, Fred Meyer's, Hastings Entertainment, Brandsmart, and MicroCenter. These leading regional retailers join major retail brands such as Walmart, The Home Depot, OfficeMax and Pep Boys in offering the PayAnywhere mobile credit card processing system to their customers.

With the ability to conduct on-the-spot credit and debit card transactions using the PayAnywhere mobile credit card reader, the PayAnywhere app, and a standard smartphone or tablet device, PayAnywhere eliminates the need for contractors to chase down payments from customers once a service has been provided and gives businesses an easy and safe way to accept credit cards from wherever they are.

Compatible with iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android smartphones and tablets, and BlackBerry devices, PayAnywhere provides merchants with the lowest transaction fees in the industry -- 2.69 percent per swiped transaction. PayAnywhere also provides live customer support and an online merchant portal for creating extensive custom transaction reports, setting up business intelligence alerts, viewing customer receipts, and more.

"Many business owners and professional contractors prefer to 'shop locally' when they can to support their regional retailers," said PayAnywhere vice president of sales Scott Addyman. "The ability to purchase the PayAnywhere reader from these retailers is important to them. PayAnywhere is dedicated to serving all businesses, and working with regional retailers is further proof of our commitment to help everyone succeed."

The PayAnywhere card reader has a suggested retail price of $9.99. But in effect, it's free -- once a merchant activates the credit card reader and starts processing transactions, PayAnywhere will include a $10 rebate as reimbursement for the purchase price.

PayAnywhere was created by the merchant credit card processing firm North American Bancard of Troy.
