Verizon Adds Berrien County To 4G LTE Network

SOUTHFIELD -- Verizon Wireless is continuing to expand its 4G LTE network in Michigan.

This week, the company rolled out its advanced, high-speed wireless network across much of Berrien County, including Baroda, Berrien Springs, Bridgman, Buchanan, Galien, Harbert, Lakeview, Lakeside, New Buffalo and Sawyer.

Verizon's 4G LTE coverage now extends along US-31 and I-94 south of St. Joseph to the Michigan-Indiana border.

Using Verizon Wireless 4G LTE is like having the fastest available home internet speeds on a mobile phone or tablet; it's 10 times faster than 3G speeds, so it enables live video chatting with no buffering delays, sharing photos as they're shot, and downloading songs and PowerPoint presentations in seconds and full-length feature movies in minutes.

By mid-2013, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network will be available in the vast majority of markets where the company currently offers 3G service, and by the end of 2013, its 4G LTE network will cover its 3G footprint.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network reaches 273.5 million people across the country – close to 89 percent of the U.S. population – and is now available in more than 480 cities.
