Tigers Skipper Weighs In On Home-Plate Collisions

The Tigers won Wednesday's game against the Mariners by the slimmest of margins, as catcher Brayan Pena held on for the final out after a collision at home plate with Justin Smoak in the 14th inning. If Tigers manager Jim Leyland had his way, Pena never would have been in harm's way to get the final out.

"That's one of those other controversial things they're talking about maybe changing, where guys have got to slide," Leyland told MLB.com. "I'm hoping it happens."
