INKSTER (WWJ) - One person is dead after five people were shot in a five-hours span during what police are calling a "bloody night in Inkster."

The shootings took place at three different locations Sunday. Police said, first, two people taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in a drive-by in the area of Lehigh and Meadowdale, shortly after 7 p.m.

In that case, police are looking for two suspect vehicles: a newer black or dark blue Jeep grand Cherokee and a dark Chevy Impala.

Then, between midnight and 1 a.m, police were called to the hospital after two people who were shot at Moore and Lehigh. One of them died of multiple gunshot wounds, while a woman was shot in the arm.  The incident took place about a mile away from the last shooting.

Just before police arrived, the brother of the deceased showed up at the hospital after being shot at the corner of Northland and Beech.

For now, investigators consider these shootings separate cases.

There had been no arrests as of 6 a.m. Monday.  No names have been released.
