Police Look To ID Oakland County Flasher

TROY (WWJ) - Police in Troy and Royal Oak are looking for a man who has been making lewd comments and exposing himself to women.

Police said a handful of females of various ages have been approached since Saturday. The youngest was 12-years-old.

Troy Police Captain Bob Redmond said most of the incidents happened in Troy, and one of them occurred in Royal Oak.

"It's that time of year -- it's nice out, it's warm out. People are wearing shorts now. They're out running, they're out walking, and they need to be reminded that this is the kind of behavior the nice weather brings out," Redmond said.

Redmond said, in most of the cases, the man slowed down or circled around the women in his vehicle before getting out.  He said it's important to stay alert when you're out and about.

"Pay attention -- that's the whole key to everything. Parks, school, even walking down the street. If there's a car going by you twice, there's something weird about that," Redmond said.
