MACOMB TWP. (WWJ) – Two people hurt following a boat explosion at a Harrison Township Harbor.

Authorities are now looking into what caused the incident on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Havey works at a marina down the street from Roy’s Boat Harbor, where the blast occurred.

Havey said the blast could be felt from over a half a block away … rattling the windows of the marina.

Havey says one of the men was filling up the tank of his 32-foot boat when the explosion happened.

“More than likely in my experience the fuel lines, the entry lines, to the gas tank are faulty,” said Havey.

The two men’s injuries are not life-threatening.
